History
Established in 2001 by Norma, who had previously made a name for herself as an incredibly talented and well-respected florist having worked as the in-house florist for a corporate events company. Norma set up her own business to bring her natural talent and flair for floristry to a wider audience.
Norma’s personal success and obvious talent led her to open a studio and flower shop, now known as The Flower Barn in beautiful Co Antrim countryside. The unusual location in a semi-converted old stone barn was chosen due to the floor space it offers (essential for producing large weddings and events) yet only a few miles from the Templepatrick exit of the M2
Norma was joined by her daughter, Sara Dalzell early on in the business. Sara brings not only the natural floristry talents inherited from Norma (and developed by 3 years part-time study at Greenmount College) but excellent marketing and business skills from her previous career in marketing.
High quality materials and innovative design talent is applied to all work produced no matter the size or value, from funeral tributes or an anniversary or birthday bouquet, a small intimate wedding to the most extravagant affairs. Our work is our advertisement, word-of-mouth from happy clients and an excellent reputation has built the company into the success it is now. We never loose sight of this and always aim to offer the very best product and customer service we can. We do not mass produce designs or believe in “one size fits all” hence our motto..
